Parallax is an interface gateway that integrates a hotel property management system (PMS) with a telephone system. It is essential for offering Guest Caller ID, Wake-up Calls, Enabling Guest Room Calling Permissions, Housekeeping Room Updates, and many more. Parallax is certified and compatible with virtually all PMSs. Parallax operates on non-proprietary hardware.
- When a Webex provides call control on a guest room handset, Parallax is needed to interface Webex to a PMS. Upon guest check-in, Parallax will notify Webex to enable internal and outbound callings. Additionally, Webex will create a voice mailbox and set the extension caller-id to the guest's name.
- Once Parallax is purchased, a kickoff meeting is scheduled with a Percipia engineer to begin data-gathering and provisioning for deployment.
